When you’re so busy you don’t know what to do, what do you say? Are you running around like a chicken with its head cut off? Are you busy as a bee, swamped, up to your ears or eyeballs in something? Is your plate full?
There are so many idioms that we can use to describe being harried in English, and Mongolian is no different. We recently learned the following idiom: “толгойтой үснээс их ажилтай“. It translates directly to “more work than a head of hair,” and it makes me think of having more tasks than you can count (like trying to count hairs on your head).
What other kinds of idioms would you be interested in learning?
