The world’s longest horse race takes place in Mongolia. The Mongol Derby is a 1000km race that ranges across the Mongolian countryside and attracts equestrians from around the globe. This race would not be possible without the generous hospitality and partnership of Mongolian herding families who house participants and act as way stations for horse changes and so on throughout the race.
